Assignment Length: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026) – Travel Nurse Assignment Location: Lubbock, TX 79410 — Lubbock, Texas travel nursing job in a Level II Trauma Center Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 – $2,040 Job Requirements – Emergency Room RN / Travel Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (Compact license accepted; Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) experience required for ER RN and trauma nursing roles Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) required Previous experience in a community hospital and Level II Trauma Center required; Ability to manage a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio in a high-acuity emergency department Willingness to work 6 weekend shifts per six weeks and 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Responsibilities – Emergency Nursing / ER RN Duties Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics as an ER Registered Nurse Perform triage, rapid assessment, and interventions for stroke, STEMI, trauma, respiratory distress, sepsis, and other emergent conditions Manage critical care interventions including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patients, central lines, and IV vasopressors Apply isolation precautions and PPE protocols to ensure patient and staff safety in the emergency department Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and trauma surgery Document all care and interventions accurately using Epic (EHR) to support continuity of care Complete orientation (36 hours) and required modules prior to start to ensure compliance and readiness for the ER nursing role floating to sister facilities may be required to support nursing coverage Lubbock, Texas offers a welcoming community, affordable living, and a lively arts and music scene.
