RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

  • Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Self-scheduling available • Weekend coverage as needed • No holiday requirements • May float to ED/ICU for 1:1 assignments as needed • Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 1:4, Nights 1:5• Care for both adult and pediatric patients with diagnoses including UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD • Work on 17-bed unit with 14 inpatient beds and 3 observation beds • Charge nurse takes patient assignment • Two nurse aids on days (2:15 ratio), one nurse aid on nights • Apply telemetry monitoring to patients • Administer electrolytes and hypertensive medications (no titration required)• Required certifications: BLS and PALS • Navy blue scrubs required • One 12-hour orientation shift provided • Use MEDITECH charting system • BSN not required • Must pass fit testing for facial hair compliance • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract)• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
