Reporting directly to the CFO, the CIO will own C3 AI’s global IT strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity posture, enterprise systems, and technology operations. The ideal candidate is a proven technology leader from a high-growth public technology company who can modernize and scale enterprise IT while meeting the compliance and security standards required of a NYSE-listed enterprise AI company. Please note that this position is full-time and located onsite at our Redwood City office. Responsibilities: Define and execute an IT strategy aligned to C3 AI’s business objectives, growth targets, and enterprise AI platform capabilities; serve as a member of the executive leadership team. Oversee all enterprise technology applications including ERP, CRM, collaboration tools, and internal data systems; drive cloud architecture strategy across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments. Lead the adoption of C3 AI’s own agentic AI and generative AI tools internally, positioning the company as a showcase first customer of its own platform. Update and oversee the enterprise information security program including incident response, identity and access management, SOC reports, FedRAMP, and other compliance postures required for C3 AI’s internal operations and customers Ensure IT systems and processes effectively support Revenue operations, Finance, HR, Legal, and professional services delivery at scale; drive automation and AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency. Manage IT capital and operating budgets with discipline; report on IT performance, risk, and investment to the CFO and Board Audit Committee as needed. Lead strategic vendor relationships and IT contract negotiations; collaborate with C3 AI’s strategic alliances on joint IT and platform initiatives.   Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with prior experience as VP of IT, SVP, or CIO at a publicly traded technology company. Hands-on familiarity with AI/ML workloads, model deployment infrastructure, and data governance in a cloud environment; experience with international IT operations and GDPR compliance a plus. Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, enterprise systems (ERP/CRM/HRIS), and IT security at scale Sound business acumen with an understanding of the technology and operational implications of a high-growth, multi-national enterprise AI company. Prior experience in managing FedRAMP or CMMC compliance programs; experience supporting federal government customers strongly preferred. Effective executive presentation skills and solid cross-functional program management skills. The ability to translate complex technology and security concepts to executive leadership including the CEO and the Board through strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lead and inspire a global IT organization, operate with a hands-on mentality, and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
