Virtual Sales Representative, Defined Term

About the position

We are seeking a Virtual Sales Representative (Inside Sales) to support our capital equipment business by selling service contracts across the Boston Scientific portfolio. In this role, you will connect with customers through strong verbal and written communication skills, driving renewal opportunities, and collaborating with field teams to achieve quarterly and annual sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify expiring service contracts and warranties to initiate the sales renewal process.
  • Uncover and qualify opportunities to increase the capture rate across the capital equipment portfolio.
  • Generate and create accurate, competitive quotes for service contract renewals.
  • Collaborate with Regional Managers, Territory Managers, and National Accounts Managers to identify key decision-makers and strategize sales approaches.
  • Ensure executed agreements are received, processed, and documented according to company policies.
  • Provide weekly updates to management on sales progress, at-risk accounts, and sales forecasts.
  • Record and maintain accurate data on sales opportunities, interactions, and contract details within Salesforce.com.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales or inside sales, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to convert prospects and close deals while meeting or exceeding established sales quotas.
  • Strong objection-handling and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, and effective time management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-motivated with high energy, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to quickly learn new products, programs, and processes.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and retention through timely and professional issue resolution.
  • Consistent demonstration of professionalism, integrity, and alignment with company values.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce.
