In this high-impact role, you will focus on cultivating key executive relationships, navigating complex enterprise sales cycles, and driving new business within a defined territory.</p> <p><br></p> <p><em>Note: This is a premier individual contributor role with the opportunity to directly impact Welldoc’s growth trajectory and shape our payer market strategy.</em></p> <p> </p> <p>The ideal VP Sales, Health Plans will have deep experience in selling technology-enabled and/or clinical systems to health plans. This experience will be furthered by the candidate’s relationships with key decision makers responsible for making these purchasing decisions.</p> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Responsibilities</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-weight: bold">Drive Strategy:</span> Develop and execute Welldoc’s revenue generation and business development strategy specifically tailored to the Health Plan market.</li> <li><span style="font-weight: bold">Pipeline Generation:</span> Leverage your existing network of Health Plan/Payer executives to surface, qualify, and close new enterprise sales opportunities.</li> <li><span style="font-weight: bold">Relationship Building:</span> Cultivate deep, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers, medical directors, and innovation stakeholders within commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans.</li> <li><span style="font-weight: bold">Optimize Revenue:</span> Analyze current revenue streams, market trends, and product offerings to continuously optimize our business growth and go-to-market strategy.</li> <li><span style="font-weight: bold">Exceed Targets:</span> Act as the lead quarterback on complex, enterprise-level deals from discovery to close, consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual quota targets.<br></li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Required Skills & Experience</span></p> <ul> <li>7+ years of proven experience leading business growth in the Health Plan markets</li> <li>Documented history of closing multi-year SaaS or technology-enabled contracts with an Annual Contract Value (ACV) or Total Contract Value (TCV) exceeding $1M.</li> <li>A robust, active Rolodex of decision-makers within major health plans and regional payers.</li> <li>Deep familiarity with the digital health landscape, value-based care models, population health, and payer reimbursement mechanisms.</li> <li>Mastery of enterprise sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger Sales) and experience navigating long, complex committee-based buying processes.</li> <li>Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex clinical and economic value propositions.</li> <li>Ability to travel & represent Welldoc at key industry related events, conferences, and to engage with stakeholders. </li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><em>Welldoc operates in ISO 13485 and MDSAP regulated and HITRUST and SOC 2 Type II compliant environments.  Therefore, it is expected that all employees will have either, prior experience working in  those environments or, will be trained to understand the requirements needed to work and support those requirements and culture as they relate to individual roles and responsibilities.</em></p> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Required Education</span></p> <ul> <li>BS or BA Degree recommended</li> <li>Active memberships in organizations such as ACHE, HFMA (preferred but not required)</li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Compensation & Benefits</span></p> <p>Welldoc offers a competitive compensation package which, in addition to salary, includes generous PTO, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision care, life and disability insurance, retirement benefits. and the opportunity to participate in health savings accounts and/or dependent care accounts<span>.</span></p> <p><br></p> <p><span>The anticipated salary range for this position is $175,000-$380,000/year inclusive of base salary and meeting 100% of team sales objectives.</span></p> <p><br><br></p> <p>Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment, you may be required to complete and clear a multi-panel drug screening process.  This screening is in connection with requirements set by certain of the Company’s customers, with which you may be working in this role, and will at all times be administered all applicable laws. </p> <p><br></p> <p><em>Welldoc is an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination and harassment of any kind.
